I have been obsessed with travel since I was 10 years old and first left my home in rural Texas at 17. Forty countries and 14 years later, I’m still not ready to stop wandering the world or trying to write about it in coherent sentences.

Nowadays, I’m all about making travel accessible for everyone, regardless of income or country of origin. Until we are all free, none of us are free.

At Travel Bugg, you’ll find my musings on budget travel, immigrant and refugee rights, national parks and hiking, building my tiny house on wheels, freelance writing, language learning and a mix of general travel knowledge accrued over the past 13 years.

My goal is to nudge you out of your comfort zone and into the wilder world, if only for a short time.
